40 Days of Prayer for Revival & Spiritual Awakening – Day 23

Revelation 12:11 says,

And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.

Day 23
Make an Impact with Your Heart

(by Diane Parker)

Spiritual awakening and revival begins in the heart of the praying individual.

The legacy of the first Great Awakening was significantly influenced by Jonathan Edwards, who said, “I will live for God.  If no one else does, I still will.”

A legacy of missions and evangelism began when Lottie Moon said, “I went to a campus revival to scoff, and returned to my room to pray all night.”

A legacy of spiritual impact is being felt among today’s collegiate generation through collegians who have a passion for making God known:

Amanda said, “Revival for me starts with my own praying.  You don’t have to have a lot of people to have revival.”

Jessica shared, “Revival is when I pray and live for God and try to bring the rest of the world to the same point.”

Scott declared, “When I got on the plane in Asia to go home from the mission trip, I realized I was being sent to America.  It shouldn’t be any different to be a missionary in Asia or a Christian in Arkansas.”

Spiritual renewal and awakening come from the heart of God and begin here on earth through the heart of the praying individual. God has always used His people to bring revival. He still does.

Father, our renewing God, make Yourself known to others through my life.

  1. Thank you for posting this every morning. I forgot my copy on my trip to Colorado but was able to continue each day through your site! Of course, I could still pray but this is so inspirational and a good start for praying. Back home soon!
