They “told these things to the apostles, but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them.”
Luke 24:10-11 ESV
The resurrection of Jesus is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated or it is the greatest event in history!
Unbelievable! The eleven apostles walked with Jesus, heard his teachings, and saw him heal the blind and walk on water, even they considered the report unbelievable!
The third day after Roman soldiers crucified Jesus, several women, including Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, came with spices for His decomposing body.
The women found an empty tomb. An angel told them, “He is risen.” Later, Jesus appeared to two men walking on the road to Emmaus.
While the apostles discussed these reports, suddenly Jesus stood among them! “Startled and frightened” only begins to describe how they felt! Jesus said to them:
Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see.
Luke 24:38-39 ESV
For the next forty days Jesus appeared many times proving His resurrection. He even appeared to over 500 at one time. (1 Corinthians 15)
It is inconceivable that hundreds would testify to seeing the risen Jesus with their own eyes, risking their lives, just to support a hoax about a dead man.
All other religions offer some method of human effort to live a better life or climb your way to heaven. Only Christianity claims that God came to mankind in Jesus to provide the way of salvation impossible to accomplish on our own. Only Christianity claims we cannot accomplish heaven or a better life by our own efforts, but only by faith in Jesus Christ risen from the dead.
Unbelievable? Is it a hoax or the only way to Heaven? I believe! He is risen. He is risen indeed! Jesus is Lord!
If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Please pray to receive salvation: “Father, I turn from my sin, ask your forgiveness, believe Jesus is Lord and risen from the dead, and will confess Him publicly through baptism.”
